Luxury responsive website design and build for classic Cotswold country cottage, Chestnut Cottage
Chestnut Cottage sits in the glorious Cotswolds countryside in the small village of Wyck Rissington. The cottage has been listed on many 3rd party holiday cottage booking websites - but had no bespoke website 100% tailored to promoting the luxurious living space this fabulous cottage provides. Our brief was simple, create a gorgeous looking website to reflect the cottage, its facilities and features and encourage direct bookings from interested bookers.
The first process in the website creation, was to establish a new name for the cottage, this gave us an identity to work with to enhance the appeal and character of the cottage - Chestnut Cottage was born! Responsive wireframes were then created to illustrate how page content would be structured to enable easy user interaction / navigation, showcasing all the fantastic features of the cottage. With the wireframes approved, we created a high-end/premium set of website page designs to reflect the wireframed layouts and also created a slate Chestnut Cottage sign as the visual identity to represent the cottage. Eye-catching high resolution photography of the cottage was used to capture the browsers attention, classical fonts and an un-cluttered layout ensured that all information relating to the cottage was easily consumed. The website includes information about the cottage as well as great local places to visit, shop, eat and drink at! An availability calendar widget reflects the current availability of the cottage in sync with all the other online channels where the cottage is available to book - meaning current availability is right up to date.
Following launch, the website has had a constant stream of booking enquiries from interested website visitors which is great to report - So, if you are looking for a lovely cottage to book for a Cotswolds adventure - then you know where to go - Chestnut Cottage is the place for you!
Our lovely website was up and running impressively quickly, and we have had plenty of enquiries since, so it has proven worth doing. Jon was always extremely helpful in helping us navigate the daunting task of what to put on it and learning how the technical side all works!
