Now that it's spring 2013, it's time for ITV's flagship Saturday night show to return. That's right, Britain's Got Talent is back! To augment the show and engage the viewers at home, this year's mobile app needed to look glossier and glitzier than before and provide the BGT fans with a fantastic experience, jam-packed full of fun interactive features. New for 2013 was a requirement for a bespoke iPad version of the app, designed to use the device's large screen size and interactive format to its best advantage.
Working with our good friends over at TellyBug and in collaboration with FreemantleMedia, jonwallacedesign - digital design studio were commissioned to help design the Official 2013 Britain's Got Talent iPad app. The app needed to reflect the glitz and gloss of the TV show and engage the user with a wealth of fun features. Most importantly, it needed to let them become a judge in their own living room and buzz when they have had enough of the act on stage. New features in the 2013 iPad app include the "It's a yes/no" feature, allowing you to predict whether the current act will get a yes or a no from the 4 studio judges. The 2013 app retains the classic buzzer function with some juicy new features, which will be introduced during the series, some fun polls and all the latest news, photos and videos direct from the studio, keeping the fans bang up to date with all the latest exclusive gossip!
