Brief

Sporting Fish provides an online community where anglers of all kinds can come together and share tips, information and stories about their fishing experiences. The new site needed to house this wealth of content and allow registered users to contribute to the site and share their fishing knowledge.

Solution

The site jonwallacedesign - digital design studio created consists of 2 main areas: a content managed main site, which features editorial content from the Sporting Fish team and a branded KickApps community site, which enables registered site users to login and share videos, photos and comments. The 2 sites are seamlessly linked via a SSO process and styled/coded to feature the Sporting Fish brand. The bespoke CMS created for the main site allows content editors and publishers to easily log-in and publish new articles on the site. Sporting Fish members are encouraged to share video content from the community site, which attracts new users to register and be a part of the Sporting Fish community. The site has also been created to allow integrated ad serving at a later date to help monetise the online service.
