Brief

RCI, the world's largest timeshare exchange company wanted a new digital channel to promote the wide range of destinations available to members looking to exchange and book new holidays. The destination guide needed to be very aspirational and encourage RCI members to visit new holiday resorts.

Solution

jonwallacedesign - digital design studio worked with the team at the Artwork Agency to design and build out the front-end prototype (a live working version, which could be then be used by the developers at Artwork Agency to build out the back-end) for the new RCI digital destination guide. jonwallacedesign treated the solution as a coffee-table digital guide; heavily focused on the new iPad generation it aims not  to replace, but to complement the existing paper brochure with a luxurious, interactive and glossy digital destination guide, which users can pick up and dip into to when they want to find out more about RCI resorts. The destination guide features a gorgeous front-end built with XHTML / CSS3 and jQuery, which gives a sophisticated feel to the whole platform. The animated accordion menu structure on the left-hand side allows users to easily explore the guide with very little effort. The look and feel promote the positivity and aspirational emotions associated with a holiday - heavy use of video and large, engaging images help capture the user's attention and encourage them to consider new destinations for next year's trip!
