Fresh and funky, the all new branding for the City of Milton Keynes
Milton Keynes needed a refreshing new brand identity that would highlight its modern, innovative character and position the city as an exciting destination for tourism and trade. The new brand identity needed to shake off any old, unwanted pre-conceptions of Milton Keynes and inject a sense of vibrancy and energy.
jonwallacedesign - digital design studio created a selection of logos in a variety of design styles, taking visual cues from existing heritage marks and other nostalgic icons. The team then worked closely with Destination Milton Keynes to refine a small selection of the preferred logos, achieve a more defined direction and pinpoint the final choice. The new logo represents the city in a modern and stylised manner, which befits its forward-thinking ethos. The new design has formed the basis of a major re-branding operation within Milton Keynes, with the logo appearing everywhere!
